Hi everyone!
Thanks for stopping by to check on my progress on the 28-day detox diet. I’m still hanging in there!
I had my usual honey and raisin porridge with Redbush tea for breakfast, and for lunch I had some oatcakes with humous and a kiwi afterwards for dessert, followed by a refreshing cup of Redbush tea. In the afternoon I had a handful of mixed nuts and raisins and another cup of Redbush tea.
A Thursday evening is always hectic for me, as this is the night of my daughters’ dance class. They’re only four, so it’s only a 45 minute class. My husband was out at an interview this evening, so I used my 45 minute interlude to go to the supermarket and stock up on some food, rather than go home.
After the class, I brought the girls home and got them ready for bed. They are both recovering from their first cold of the season, so they were pretty tired after their dancing, and they were both in bed by 8pm.
I then had a Seeds of Change Organic Three Bean Soup for my dinner, which was incredibly tasty and filling. Okay, I concede that I was a little lazy this evening in using a ready-made soup. However, I chose this soup because it contained 100% organically-grown ingredients, and it was compliant with the detox diet.
I had a lovely glass of Welch’s Purple Grape Juice with my dinner. This refreshing drink is made from freshly ripened purple Concord grapes from Welch’s own vineyards and contains no artificial additives, preservatives or sweeteners. It is also fat free, cholesterol free and naturally rich in antioxidants. I drink my grape juice from a wine glass, which psychologically makes me feel as if I’m drinking a fine wine.
Thanks for reading!
