Thanks for stopping by on Day Four of my 28-day Detox Diet.
I had a lazy day at home with my little girls today, and it was bliss. We had a long lie and then lounged around in our jammies all morning, snuggling on the couch and watching TV. Thankfully, I wasn’t tempted by any TV snacks though!
I had my porridge and Redbush tea for breakfast, oat cakes with humous and fruit juice for a mid morning snack, and rice cakes with peanut butter and a green salad, followed by a nectarine for lunch.
Mid afternoon, I had a satsuma and a few mixed nuts for a snack.
Following my hubby’s huge faux pas on Thursday, we discussed how we would approach our weekly weekend treat this week. We usually have a chinese takeaway after the girls are in bed on a Saturday. Hubby thought we wouldn’t be able to enjoy our treat this week. However, there are several options on the menu for me:
- Vegetable Chow Mein
- Satay Mixed Vegetable
- Szechuen Style Mixed Vegetables
- Kung Po Mixed Vegetables
- Sweet and Sour Mixed Vegetables
- Vegetable with Garlic and Black Bean Sauce
- Vegetable Curry
- Salt and Pepper Beancurd
- Beancurd with Green Pepper and Blackbean Sauce
- Szechuen Beancurd with Mandarin Sauce
In the end, I opted for Kung Po Mixed Vegetables, and I prepared my boiled brown rice while my husband went to collect the order. The meal was delicious and it felt so good to enjoy a treat while still remaining on the diet.
