Day 3 – TGIF

Hi everyone!

Well, that’s Day 3 of my detox diet almost over, and it wasn’t the greatest day, but thank goodness it’s Friday!

I didn’t have time for breakfast again this morning (man, I can’t get up early on these dark mornings!), and I also forgot to take my porridge to work.  Therefore, at the office I had to make do with a rice cake and peanut butter for breakfast, with two cups of Redbush tea.

I had a meeting all morning, so didn’t have a mid-morning snack, and was rather hungry (and headachey) by 1230.

For lunch, I had carrot batons with humous and a plum for desert.

Afterwards, I went for a ten minute walk near my office.  It was a lovely sunny day here today, but it was very chilly.  I enjoy walking in my neighbourhood.  Two minutes away from the office and you are in a peaceful rural environment where you can really switch off from the hustle and bustle.

Despite enjoying some fresh air, I still suffered a headache all afternoon.  I’m not sure it has anything to do with my detox diet (though this is a common side effect), but rather I think it might have had more to do with my new specs rubbing into my left ear.

For my evening meal I had delicious roasted vegetables (red onion, courgette, yellow pepper and parsnips) and brown rice.  I drizzled extra virgin olive oil on the vegetables and some chopped tomatoes.  It was extremely filling.

As I type, my husband is making me a cup Redbush tea.  We had fallen into the habit, lately, of having a choccie biscuit with a cuppa every evening around 9.30pm.  I can’t say I’m not craving one right now, but I promise I’ll resist!

Thanks for reading!
